2016-17 La Plagne Ski Prices released
Start planning this year's ski trip to La Plagne
It's that time of year again when ski pass prices for the coming winter have been released, and the provisional dates for La Plagne and the Paradiski ski areas have been set.
This year the ski season in La Plagne should start (snow permitting) on the 10th December 2016, with the full Paradiski area opening on the 17th December. The season then closes on 22nd April 2017.
New to the selection of this year's ski passes are a 'Duo' and 'Tribu' option which allows small groups of two or three to benefit from a small discount in the overall price. Passes must be bought at the same time, for the same ski area and same number of days. Family passes still remain a popular option with 2 adults and 2 children minimum all paying the child rate for either the La Plagne only ski area or the full Paradiski ski area which includes neighbouring Les Arcs.
The upper age limit for adult passes has increased to 74 from 72 but if you're 74 or older you can still ski for 1-15 days for just 7 euros or 21 euros for the whole season. Child ages have changed slightly too with under 5's now skiing for free, which was under 6's last year. Proof of age for the senior or under 5 passes is still required.
Another new feature for 2016-17 is that people who arrive early get an extra half day skiing in La Plagne for free on the day before the first full day of skiing. This is valid for anyone buying 6 day consecutive passes or more from the 17th December onwards.
As ever there has been a small annual increase in the cost of standard ski passes, but if you're here for the season or year round, there has actually been a decrease in the cost of these passes from last year.
