La Grolle Restaurant Review

Popular Restaurant Serving Hearty Portions at Reasonable Prices

featured in Restaurant reviews Author Matt Hein, Ski Editor Updated

Head to the bottom of the pistes in La Plagne centre and you'll find this great little restaurant with a huge sun terrace. With more than 30 seats it's a popular place with local instructors dropping in for a bite to eat, and has amazing views of all the mountains. On the day I was there it was really sunny, so the views were pretty great!

I ordered the Salad Landaise, which comes with duck meat, gizzards and egg. It was a good sized portion, very filling and there was a bread basket with the meal too, making this a good choice for skiers and boarders to recover a few carbs.

It's really easy to find the restaurant and it's popular with families and groups, even better if you're on the hop like me and just popping in for a quick bite.

As I said before the food is really good value for money - the plat du jour was 11.90 euros, and a main course is anything from 8-19 euros. If you're after a big hit of pasta, then they do a really good sized bowl for 11 euros or for something a bit smaller, a jacket potato and salad for 7.50 euros.

I would recommend coming here, especially when the service was so good as well, very friendly welcome and goodbye and the staff all seemed very relaxed and on top of things.
