Transfers

You’ll need to book your own transfers, when staying here. Your main options are shared or private transfers, but consider whether you would prefer a door-to-door service or a (generally cheaper) “communal” drop-off point at your destination.

Cycle Hire

You’ll need to organise your own bike hire when staying here.  Things to consider are the type of bike you want to rent such as road, mountain, hard trail and/or an electric bike; and whether you’ll need helmets and protective clothing with your rental. You’re best off choosing a shop that is close to your accommodation for ease of access, and making it quicker to return the bike and pay at the end. Ski Hire

Generally, you’re best off choosing somewhere close for ease of access, & less far to carry your kit, easier to make changes, and quicker to return and pay at the end. Instructors & Lessons

When staying here, you’ll need to book  your own ski or snowboard lessons. Tuition is strongly recommended for complete beginners and is always a good idea whatever your level to perfect your technique. Group lessons are a great way for children to learn with their peers whilst giving you some free time on the slopes. Groups are also a generally cheaper option for adults, however, with a private instructor you’ll have undivided attention and be able to progress at your own pace.

The largest of the three high altitude villages in La Plagne is Belle Plagne, situated at 2050m. It is also one of the most attractive places to stay. Pedestrianised in the centre and made up of traditional wood, stone and slate buildings Belle Plagne will give you a real feeling of being immersed in the mountains.

Get competitive at La Plagne’s hidden gem bowling alley, open late in the centre of Belle Plagne with a fully licensed bar and arcade games, this makes for a great family outing or night out with a difference. For nightlife Belle Plagne is blessed with Le Saloon bar, wild west themed with DJs every night, it doesn’t begin to get busy until late on so this is the place to party till the early hours and the drinks get cheaper the more French you can speak so get practising! If you want to get out and about to other villages feel free, the bubble lift from Bellecote stays open way past last lifts and if you happen to miss the last one Saloon bar operates a shuttle service to pick you up and keep your party going.
