Public Transport in La Plagne
All six resorts of La Plagne are linked via a free télécabine and bus service during the day, or you can simply ski between them. There is no direct bus service between Belle Plagne and the other villages in La Plagne but you can take the télécabine lift between Belle Plagne and Plagne Bellecôte from where you can then take a bus to the other resorts. The bus services run from 8am till around midnight, and the télécabine service terminates shortly after.
There is also a free shuttle service aimed at cross country skiers and walkers providing access to Mairiers, which stops at the top of the Bobsleigh run at 2pm every day except for Saturdays and Sundays. For those visiting the bob sleigh run itself, a return bus is available at 5pm from the village "de la Roche" and for cross country skiers and walkers, the return bus departs from the top of the bob run. There is also a specific Bobsleigh shuttle bus that runs from each resort Tuesday - Friday. Check with the tourist office for the latest times.
The train serves Aime (for the high altitude resorts and Montalbert), Moûtiers (for Champagny la Vanoise) and Landry (for Montchavin). There are shuttle buses that run services between the train stations and the various resorts, please see the links below for details. A one way taxi ride should cost in the region of €50 and the journey takes approximately 45 minutes. We would recommend booking your taxi in advance, details of local companies are available on our Resort Taxis listing page.
Note that the closest mainline station is Aime - NOT Aime La Plagne which is a separate ski village up the mountain!
