La Plagne Dump Alert: 6th February 2014

A Fabulous February Snowfall

As the clouds came over yesterday we knew we were in for a treat as the forecast had predicted a decent overnight dump. This morning we woke to a good 13cm of fresh snow in resort!
With sunny spells on the forecast today, it's going to be a bluebird day in La Plagne. But don't worry for those arriving this weekend there is more snow on the forecast tomorrow and over the weekend.

Monday Freshies: 27th January 2014

Someone needs to clear the clouds away & it could be a perfect day!
Monday Morning Freshies: 27th January 2014

Around 20cm of snow came down in resort overnight, so plenty more up on the mountain.. Some of the lifts are still waiting to start running for the day while avalanche blasting continues. Some off piste areas will be heavily loaded with snow, so be super careful if you're heading off piste. The clouds are starting to clearing a little now and it looks like it's going to be a pretty good powder day :-)

TFI It's Snowing: 24th January 2014

Fresh snow in La Plagne, just in time for the weekend

Alas the snow gods have answered to our wishes with a heavy dump in La Plagne - a good 15cm has fallen up on the mountain.
The snowflakes started falling yesterday and continued well into the night which meant we woke to a decent dusting down in town and much more up top. As a result some lifts are not yet open as the pisteurs prepare the ski area, check the lift status before heading out.
More snow is on the forecast early next week.

Return of the Snow: 14th January 2014

Fresh tracks to be had all over the place!
Return of the snow: 14th January 2014

It seems the snow gods have woken up late after a very boozy Christmas.. but now we've got fresh snow and yeah it might be a bit of a white out in places (take a look at the Grande Rochette webcam!) but at least there's been a top up. If you're arriving here on Saturday, the good news is that more snow is due during the day on Thursday & Friday, with even more forecasted for the beginning of the following week.. let's hope it continues!!
