Still some snow and ice on minor roads.
Snow Chains:
Chains are not currently required in this resort. Please note: carrying snow chains in your car is essential in mountain resorts, whatever the weather, as driving conditions can change suddenly.
Auto Routes: Weekends (and in particular, Saturdays) can be very busy on the roads leading to the Alps. You can plan to miss the most congested days by consulting the French traffic site Bison Futé which gives masses of useful information on the French roads, inlcuding a long-range forecast of the busy days to avoid.
Be aware of speed cameras on the following roads in the region: A43 Tunnel de l'Epine (direction Lyon/Chambery); A 43 Tunnel de Dullin (direction Chambery/Lyon); RN 90 Tunnel de Ponserand (direction Moutiers/Alberville); RN 201 La Biolle (direction Albens/Aix), RN 201 above the entry to the Tunnel des Monts (direction Grenoble/Aix).
