Opening & Closing Dates for La Plagne - Summer 2009
For summer 2009, the village resorts of Champagny en Vanoise, Plagne Montalbert, Montchavin and Les Coches will be open from 28th June until 30th August inclusive.
The altitude resorts of La Plagne; Aime la Plagne, Belle Plagne Plagne Villages/Soleil, Plagne Bellecote, Plagne Centre and Plagne 1800, will open a week later on 5th July until 30th August 2009.
The Pass Plagne can be used to enjoy a huge range of activities throughout each of the La Plagne stations, as well as giving access to the lift system and the glacier. You can buy the pass in blocks of units which can then be 'spent' on whatever activities you wish (participating activity providers will have the Pass'Plagne logo in their window). The card can be used by one or more individuals and then simply topped up once you've used up all of your units.
There is one set price for all ages; children's activities tend to 'cost' fewer units so you can buy them a smaller pass depending on what they want to do.The Pass'Plagne card also entitles you to various discounts around resort (rafting, hairdresser, restaurants...) so make sure you carry it with you at all times!

Pass Glacier Summer 2009
If you wish to explore further afield during your stay and enjoy some of the wonderful hiking trails that La Plagne has to offer, then it makes sense to take advantage of the summer lift system. As in winter, you first need to buy a lift pass which can be done from the cash desks at the base of the main departure points from resort It is possible to buy day and half day tickets for the operating lifts:
With the Pass Glacier you can take the Roche de Mio gondola and then the Bellecôte cable car to 3000m, where you will be greeted by magnificent views and the ice caves of the Bellecote glacier. Access to the ice caves is included in the price of this ticket*. Price: €13 (or 26 Pass Plagne units) for 10 years and over - under 10’s go free!
*It is important to remember that you will be in high alpine terrain on the glacier so don’t forget to take an extra layer, a hat/cap, water and high factor sun cream with you!
