La Plagne forms part of the fabulous Paradiski area; combining all the resorts of La Plagne Les Arcs and Peisey Vallandry into one giant heavenly playground. La Plagne itself consists of 6 high altitude resorts (linked by a free public transport service), with terrain to suit everyone, and 4 village resorts with access to the entire ski area. Snow conditions permitting, La Plagne usually opens around mid- December until the end of April and the whole Paradiski area opens from around December 23rd until April 20th (ish). ... see "La Plagne Skiing Revealed" for more |

There is plenty for non-skiers to do in the La Plagne. Activities include winter walking, snow shoe walks, husky-sledding, ice-climbing, parapenting, balloon and light-aircraft flights, sledging, swimming, ice-skating, indoor climbing and fitness classes.

Thanks to its great free public transport system the need for a car in La Plagne is negligible. In this section we tell you all you need to know about how to get around La Plagne, with or without your own wheels.
As the pressure of public opinion mounts for ski resorts to become more eco-friendly La Plagne has come up with an interesting scheme to promote car pooling; a reduction of 15€ will be offered on a day ski pass if your car contains at least three people.
